poetic science fair was put together as a collaborative effort with students and teachers from the school for poetic computation (sfpc). it was inspired by the 'new audiences' theme for the fall term at sfpc and held at the silent barn in bushwick. children and families from the surrounding area were invited to participate in a series of stations that explored computation, coding, audio, handicrafts, and circuitry. i helped run a 'light jewelry' booth with three other students where science fair participants could make jewelry, pins, hair accessories, etc. with felt, simple circuits, and leds.
